Lincolnshire businesses manage to escape from networking

25 representatives from local businesses have managed to complete a networking escape room in Lincoln, organised by Purple Robot.

The first ‘networking with a difference’ event organised by marketing and design agency Purple Robot saw people from businesses across the county locked in and escape room in Lincoln in February.

The event at Escape Lincoln was sponsored by Carrington and was completely free for participants.

25 business people had to help one another escape from a series of mind-boggling challenge rooms including curious magic emporium, a Sherlock Holmes riddle and a deadly biological outbreak.

Among the attendees were representatives from Ruddocks, Allen Signs and Stokes Coffee, plus others. The winning team managed to escape in 56 minutes and 31 seconds

Purple Robot’s Managing Director Damien Howard-Pask said:

“We want to thank everyone who came to Networking with a Difference this morning in partnership with Carrington Communications. All the teams managed to escape, with only 29 seconds between the first and last group escaping!

“We’ve all been to networking sessions where people awkwardly hand out business cards and have boring small talk, but by doing something fun as an ice-breaker, people were forced to meet, work together and get to know one another’s talents without even realising they were networking. It was great fun!”

Jacqui Adams, owner and director of Tick HR said: “A big thank you to Purple Robot and Carrington for a great networking event with a difference! It’s amazing how after a short period of time, we began working as a team and each of us were able to contribute. Good to learn about other local businesses!”

Kirsty Raywood from LIVES first responders who took part in the event said: “Great morning with a different approach to networking. Thanks!”

Based on the success and extremely positive feedback, the Purple Robot team may look to host more ‘Networking with a Difference’ events soon.
