The Brief

We were appointed by Cope Seeds & Grain to devise a marketing campaign that would get its range of exclusive varieties in front of farmers, growers and agronomists right across the UK. This well-established and growing agricultural business was expanding and needed the right agency partner to work with the team on all aspects of its PR & marketing strategy as it expanded its team of seed and grain specialists and moved into new premises.

Our Approach

Our agricultural PR team built a 12-month strategy designed to get their varieties covered by the most influential agricultural media publications, in print and online. Our strategy was to get Cope Seeds firmly into the heart of the UK farming conversation, where potential farm customers nationwide could become aware of their business and benefit from their expertise when it comes to conventional and organic seed.

By combining trials data, grower case studies and advice from their team, we secured placements in every major farming title over a 12-month period, including Farmers Weekly, Farmers Guardian and Agronomist & Arable Farmer. This resulted in sustained growth in customer demand throughout one of the toughest growing periods for farmers in recent years.

Our activity grew from solely PR into social media management, paid social advertising and copywriting for company sales literature and website, in partnership with the design studio Soka Studio
